Project and brand-use note
This completed World Skate product case is published with the customer's permission to use the product photography, World Skate name and logo. It documents the manufacturing project only and does not imply a broader endorsement or affiliation beyond this supplied award order.
International event awards are rarely simple promotional medals. The organizer must satisfy a brand-approval process, a presentation standard and a fixed event date at the same time. In this completed World Skate project, the order required 37 championship medals with a substantial dimensional appearance and custom event lanyards.
1. The championship-medal brief
The customer approached Minghui approximately 30 days before the event. The first priority was not a generic unit price: it was whether artwork could be prepared quickly enough for approval, while preserving the material feel and event presentation required for an international championship award.
| Requirement | Project brief |
|---|---|
| Final quantity | 37 custom championship medals |
| Medal format | 80–100 mm, approximately 5 mm thick |
| Weight brief | Minimum 250 g target per medal |
| Award finishes | Gold, silver and bronze |
| Design scope | Custom front and back with a dimensional finish |
| Lanyard | Approximately 90 cm custom event lanyard |

2. What makes a high-specification medal different?
A brief that specifies a large diameter, approximately 5 mm thickness and a minimum-weight target cannot be treated like a lightweight souvenir order. Relief depth, material choice, plating, lanyard hardware and the way the medal hangs all affect the final presentation. The artwork proof therefore needs to show both sides, the lanyard connection and the required dimensional language before production is released.
Substantial feel
Weight, thickness and relief must be reviewed together rather than treated as separate specifications.
Approval-ready design
The organizer needs a clear digital proof before the event brand can release the manufacturing order.
Date-managed delivery
Artwork approval, production, courier collection and destination delivery must all be evaluated against the event date.
3. Questions to answer before quoting a championship medal
Event organizers can receive a faster, more reliable feasibility review when they send the event date, approval contact, required medal size and weight, finish split, quantity, lanyard artwork and destination together. A factory can then identify whether the project needs a standard plan or a rush review before making a delivery commitment.
- What is the exact in-hands date, not only the event date?
- Does an association, rights holder or sponsor need to approve the proof?
- Is the stated weight a minimum, a target or a visual preference?
- Which elements change between gold, silver and bronze?
- Does the custom lanyard need woven artwork, printing, a particular length or a named hardware finish?
