Why is there a tooling or mold fee for a custom metal product?

A custom die, mold, or tooling setup is normally required to form your artwork, relief, outline, and metal details. The tooling fee is quoted separately because it depends on size and design complexity. For an unchanged design, repeat orders normally do not need new tooling. A year, text, or design change may require tooling to be updated or remade after review.

Simple projects can start around US$2 per piece, but there is no single fixed price for every custom product. Final pricing depends on size, material, 2D or 3D construction, thickness, color details, quantity, packaging, tooling, and shipping destination. A drawing or reference image lets us prepare a project-specific quote.

Are gold, silver, and bronze different metals?

Accepted Answer

Gold, silver, and bronze are electroplated finish results, not necessarily three different base metals. They are commonly used as award tiers on the same design. The base material is chosen separately: zinc alloy is commonly used for die-cast, dimensional 3D work; brass, a copper-based metal, is often suitable for hydraulic-formed coin-style products; and iron can suit selected 2D stamped designs. We review the artwork before recommending a production route.

How do I choose between zinc alloy, iron, and brass?

There is no universal best material. Zinc alloy is commonly used for die-casting when a design needs dimensional 3D relief or a complex outline. Brass, a copper-based metal, is often used for hydraulic-formed coin-style products. Iron can suit selected 2D stamped designs. The right choice depends on whether the artwork is 2D or 3D, the desired thickness and weight, the detail level, and the target budget.

How quickly can you provide artwork and can I request revisions?

Accepted Answer

Initial artwork is typically prepared within 48 hours for a complete brief. Revisions are free and unlimited before written approval. The production route should not be released until the final artwork, specifications, and any required event or brand approval are confirmed.

Can I see a physical sample before a 100–500 piece order?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For a new project, the tooling fee can be paid through PayPal first. We then prepare a physical sample, normally in about 7 days. Under our Risk-Free Physical Sample Policy, we revise the sample until you are satisfied and approve it. You do not pay the bulk-order deposit until the sample is confirmed. If you decide not to continue at the sample stage, the eligible sample-stage payment can be refunded through PayPal. A bulk order should not be released until the sample and final specifications are approved.

Can you deliver custom medals, badges, or coins before a fixed event date?

Accepted Answer

We first review feasibility rather than make an unconditional delivery promise. A typical plan allows about 7 days for the physical sample and about 3 weeks for bulk production after the sample is approved. The normal timeline is broadly similar for 100, 300, and 500 pieces; the unit price changes slightly with quantity. Every final delivery commitment depends on design complexity, approvals, destination, carrier capacity, and customs.

Can you ship to the United States or Europe and handle DDP delivery?

We ship globally and can review DDP door-to-door options with UPS, FedEx, or DHL for many destinations. Shipping cost and final transit time depend on the packed weight, dimensions, destination, carrier service, and customs requirements. Provide the delivery city, postal code, and required in-hands date so we can assess the route correctly.

Can one supplier make the metal product, custom ribbon, and packaging?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can plan metal badges, medals, challenge coins, custom lanyards or ribbons, and personalized packaging such as acrylic cases, velvet boxes, pouches, paper boxes, and other presentation options together. Confirming these items in the same quote helps avoid mismatched sizes, finishes, and packing assumptions.

The fastest feasibility review comes from sending the product type, quantity, target size, artwork or reference image, 2D or 3D preference, finish split, packaging requirement, delivery country or city, and the real in-hands date. If an association or client must approve the design, mention that approval step at the start.
