Why a Sample-First Path Matters
A digital proof explains intent; a physical sample confirms the physical result. This distinction is especially useful for a complex logo, 3D relief, unusual shape, color-sensitive product, heavy challenge coin, or important event award.
It also gives multiple stakeholders a concrete item to inspect before a final production decision.
The Sample-First Sequence
First, approve the artwork and written project specification. The tooling fee can be paid through PayPal for the new project, then a physical sample is prepared—normally in about 7 days.
The buyer reviews the sample and requests any required revision before bulk release. The bulk-order deposit is paid only after the sample is confirmed.
What Should Be Written Down
The project record should identify the artwork version, size, material route, 2D or 3D relief, finish, colors, thickness, backing or ribbon, packaging, quantity, and destination.
Confirm the exact sample scope, payment record, revision process, and any applicable sample-stage refund terms in writing.
What Happens After Approval
Once the sample and final specification are approved, the bulk production plan can be released. Many bulk projects should allow about 3 weeks after sample approval, subject to the final design, quantity, approvals, destination, carrier capacity, and customs.
A written sample approval protects clarity for both the buyer and production team.
